FreqLoader was developed in sunny Montreal, Canada, by Patrick Deegan with assistance from the psychogenic team. It is built on the Psychogenic Community Builder and iPhone Rapid Development toolkits.

FreqLoader Tech

The FreqLoader application is only one part of the entire FreqLoader system, which includes the iPhone/iPod Touch application and the server-side elements.

Following the principal of using the right tool for the job in order to maximise performance, the entire project uses a host of technologies including five programming languages (Objective-C and C, Perl, JavaScript and PHP) operating in three environments, four interchange protocols (JSON, AJAX, Bonjour zeroconf networking and raw HTTP), two SQL databases (MySQL and SQLite), a few special purpose languages (like HTML and CSS) and a few third party libraries, listed below.
